Critical Reflection - Impact and Implementation Considerations in Early Childhood Education and Care

The National Quality Standard (NQS) is the benchmark for quality in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) within Australia. Australian Government positioned reflective practice at core of NQS (ACECQA, 2013) order to raise standards inform future planning decision making (COAG, 2009; Kennedy, 2011). Critical reflection was identified as foundational good with educators expected engage a 'lively culture professional inquiry' (DEEWR, 2009, p. 13) ensuring way continued improvement standards.
